Let’s read more of Romans 3 and see how it describes the “sinner who does not seek God”
All Have Sinned
9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
10 As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”[b]
13 “Their throat is an open tomb;
With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; [c]
“The poison of asps is under their lips”; [d]
14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”[e]
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.”[f]
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[g]
Wow, the answer is right there this wicked sinner who does not seek God is also not righteous, he has no spiritual understanding, he has turned aside to go his own way, as we know proverbs says there is a way that seems right to a man but only leads to death. The sinner who does not seek God turns aside to seek his own way that is death. There is no spiritual good in him at all. His tongue is an open tomb, he constantly speaks words of wickedness and death and the poison of asp is under his lips. The wicked man who does not seek God full of cursing and bitterness, his feet are swift to shed blood, destruction and misery are are his ways. the way of God’s peace in Christ the man who does not seek Christ he has never known AND THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE HIS EYES.
IS THIS THE MAN FLOWERS WANTS US TO THINK SEEKS GOD APART FROM THE MIRACLES REGENERATING WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT PRODUCES CONVICTION, REPENTANCE AND FAITH. I THINK PULLING THAT ONE VERSE OUT OF CONTEXT DOES VIOLENCE TO WHAT PAUL WAS TRYING TO SAY HERE.
